The dragon fruit or Pitaya is the fruit of the cactus genus “Hylocereus”. Its Origin is from Mexico, South & North America. Later it was introduced to Asia and the Fareast.
In the United states the Dragon Fruit is grown in Hawaii, Southern California and Florida.
The taste is kind of between pear and kiwi. This fruit is so beautiful with its vibrant magenta color.
This fruit comes in a variety of colors but the most well-known ones are the ones that are white and magenta from the inside. The darker the inside the sweeter it tastes.

The Dragon fruit is considered a superfood because it is full of nutrients, fibers, vitamins, and antioxidants.
Eating it regularly will have a positive effect on your health. It is also high on vitamin C which helps boost the immune system, especially during the winter.

Fruits. I like mixing it with sweet fruits like mangoes and strawberries. But my favorite is mixing it with bananas because it gives it a smooth creamy texture.
Yogurt. Try adding a couple of spoons of your favorite yogurt. You can even add chia seeds or protein powder to it.

The Most Delicious Dragon Fruit Smoothie
- 2 cups Frozen dragon fruit you can also use fresh
- 1 Ripped Banana for a sweeter taste
- 2 tablespoon Vanilla Yogurt
- 1/4 cup Orange Juice
- · Add the frozen dragon fruit, ripped banana, vanilla yogurt, and orange juice to a blender and blend till you reach the desired texture.
- Blend well & Enjoy 😉
- The more liquids you add the more watery the texture will be.
- The Ripped Banana gives it a sweeter taste.
